Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR

Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours


Position Details

  • Patient Age Group: Adults
  • Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month
  • On-Call Requirement: Yes
  • Orientation: Bi-weekly sessions available
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • Local candidates are also considered

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Arizona
  • Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
  • CVOR experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Current and valid Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport
  • Background checks within 1 year of start date, including:
    • Social Security Trace
    • 7-year County Criminal Check
    • National Criminal Check
    • FACIS III
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
  • Education verification (copy of diploma or official transcripts accepted)
  • Primary source verification of state license and NURSYS verification within 15 days prior to start
  • Drug test with negative results within 30 days of start (specific panels required)
  • Physical exam within one year of start, completed within 72 hours of signing contract
  • Fit mask test within one year of start, updated annually (can be completed onsite)
  • Immunizations and titers required within 72 hours of signing contract:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (TDAP within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test (Qgold or Tspot within 1 year) or chest X-ray if prior positive
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines)
    • Hepatitis B (completed vaccine series, positive titer, or declination within last year)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • References and employment history verification covering the last 7 years, including explanation for any gaps over 30 days
  • Skills checklist current within one year

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must sign facility-specific documents including confidentiality and orientation acknowledgments
  • Candidates must watch and upload proof of completion of a New Employee Orientation video before starting
  • One weekend per month and on-call shifts are required as part of the assignment
  • No prior travel experience is explicitly required for this position
