Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech

Location: West Columbia, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (5x8 hours)
Hours per Week: 40 hours

Job Description

• Work in the Operating Room as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• On-call hours required, including some weekends.
• Use of Philips Azurion and Siemens equipment platforms.
• Perform ultrasound-guided arterial and venous access.
• Competent in procedures such as stroke thrombectomy, embolization, kyphoplasty, fistulagram, arteriogram with intervention, venogram with intervention, dialysis and venous access, Y90, chest port placement, nephrostomy tube placement, PTC, G-tube placement, and TIPS.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in South Carolina.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• ARRT certification.
• Proficient in ultrasound-guided arterial and venous access.
• Experience with stroke thrombectomy, embolization, kyphoplasty, fistulagram, arteriogram with intervention, venogram with intervention, dialysis access, Y90, chest port placement, and nephrostomy tube placement.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of identity and employment eligibility (I9, E-Verify).
• 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start.
• Required federal and state background screenings (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG).
• Education verification or diploma proof.
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility guidelines.
• Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
• Drug screening (5-panel urine or hair) within 90 days of start.
• COVID vaccination series or approved exemption.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination documentation.
• Proof of 2 clinical references.
• Verification of work history for the past 7 years.
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and competency exams.

• Time off requests evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
• Facility-specific checklists and competency exams required.
• Photo submission on plain background required prior to start.
• Online orientation and training required before first shift.
• Respirator questionnaire must be completed and brought to orientation.
