Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Quincy, Illinois

Job Description

• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Experience in CVU or CVICU is acceptable.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
• Experience in Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) is acceptable.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 30 days of start, confirming good health and ability to work without restrictions.
• N95 Fit Mask test within 12 months of start.
• Immunizations and/or proof of immunity required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or signed declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Rubeola (Measles) – proof of immunity or vaccination
  • Mumps – proof of immunity or vaccination
  • Rubella – proof of immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B – proof of immunity, vaccination series, or declination
  • Varicella – proof of immunity or vaccination
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
• COVID-19 vaccination proof required prior to start.
• Drug testing: 10-panel test dated within 30 days of start, no rapid results accepted.

Background and Documentation

• 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start, including:

  • SSN trace
  • County searches for last 7 years
  • Alias check
  • National criminal and sex offender registry checks
  • Education verification (diploma or transcript acceptable)
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
• Employment application and verification of last 3 years of work history required.
• At least 2 recent professional references required.

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID and 2 forms of ID required.
• Completion of various facility-specific forms and acknowledgments prior to start (e.g., safety information, code of conduct, confidentiality agreements).
• Completion of computer-based learning modules prior to start (approximately 4 hours).
• Photo for badge required (headshot, shoulders up, JPEG format).
• Parking tag request required for all candidates.

Additional Information

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Chemotherapy certification are strongly preferred but not required.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
