Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel/Contract

Location: Quincy, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty (CVU or CVICU experience accepted)

Required Certifications

• ACLS (American Heart Association only)
• BLS (American Heart Association only)
• NIH Stroke Certification (must be updated annually)
• PALS (preferred for ER, PICU, PEDI, PACU)
• NRP (required for LD, Antepartum, Postpartum, NICU, Nursery)
• Chemotherapy certification (strongly preferred for Oncology, not required)
• TNCC (strongly preferred for ER, not required)

Required Documents & Compliance

• Government issued photo ID (2 forms of ID required)
• Emergency Contact Form
• Background Check: 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start including SSN trace, county searches, national criminal and sex offender checks, education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (must be done annually and within 30 days of start)
• Education Verification (Diploma or Transcript acceptable)
• State License verification (primary source online verification)
• National Tech Certification (if applicable)
• Photo for badge (headshot, JPEG format)
• Various facility-specific documents including safety information, code of conduct, confidentiality agreements, and employee health information forms (must be completed prior to start)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 30 days of start, stating fitness to work without restrictions
• N95 Fit Test within 12 months of start
• Tdap vaccination within 10 years or signed declination
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year (with annual TB questionnaire if past positive)
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Proof of immunity by titer or vaccination or declination as per birth year guidelines
• Hepatitis B: Proof of immunity or vaccination series or declination
• Varicella: Proof of immunity or vaccination or declination
• Drug Testing: 10 panel drug screen within 30 days of start, repeated annually (no rapid results accepted)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
• COVID-19 Vaccination proof required prior to start

Competency Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• Color Blind Testing (required for all travelers)
• Unit Specific Competency Exam
• Core Parts I, II, III (must be updated annually)
• OSHA Mandatory Training (must be updated annually)

References & Work History

• At least 2 recent professional references required
• Verification of last 3 years of work history required
• Employment application required
