Job Description
Registered Nurses deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. They interact effectively with patients and visitors while maintaining professional nursing standards. Registered Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care based on scientific nursing principles. Due to the broad range of medical conditions encountered, nurses must be well-versed in a variety of health conditions.

- May be asked to float to a different floor or another campus.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only (Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only (Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
- NIH Stroke Certification (as applicable)
- Other certifications may be required as applicable:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)

- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (series, positive titer, or declination)
- Varicella
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), with agency religious or medical exemption accepted.
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start; no pending results allowed. Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival.
Additional Requirements
- Must have government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- I9 or attestation required.
- E-Verify or attestation required.
- Completion of facility-specific documents and acknowledgments prior to start (e.g., vaccination info, TB and occupational exposure, patient-centered pledge, confidentiality statement, corporate compliance, background check authorization, traveler identification form, employee handbook review).
- Pass/fail testing required for Telemetry RNs (if applicable).
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable.
- Color blindness testing required.
- Skills checklist and employment application required; references (2) within 3 years required.
