Job Description

• Position: RN IMC/PCU
• Schedule: 3x12 Nights
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Years of Experience Required: 2 Years
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• Experience Required: Current Critical Care, Telemetry experience

Certifications and Licenses Required

• BLS: Basic Life Support
• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• EKG Course/Telemetry Test
• NIHSS: National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale

Additional Requirements

• Driver's License & Utility Bill: Current and valid driver's license or state-issued ID required, along with a utility bill in the traveler's name with a matching address within the last three months. The address must be greater than 75 miles from the contracted facility.
• RTO Restrictions: No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted.
• Floating Requirement: Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities.
• Local Candidates: Not accepted (must be greater than 75 miles from the facility).

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Statement of good health required, signed by a physician, PA, or NP.
• Vaccinations:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen required.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: Strongly preferred to be fully vaccinated prior to start.

Background and History Checks

• Background Check: 7-year criminal background check required.
• References: 2 former supervisor references required.
• Work History Verification: 10 years of work history verified, including any international positions.
• Education Verification: 3rd party verification required for the highest level of education.

Competencies

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required for RNs and LPNs/LVNs.
• Unit Specific Competency Exams: Must score 80% or higher in every sub-section.

Additional Information

• All RNs must attend the Patient Care Orientation Class (Skills).
• Fit Test is required for all clinical positions within 1 year of start.
• ESI Certification required for ER Travelers prior to start.
