Job Overview

Full-time, day shift
5x8 schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
40 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist experience within the last year
Bachelor’s degree and completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics
Experience with menu management software (CBORD)

Preferred Qualifications

At least 1 year of clinical experience
Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN) in New York

Key Responsibilities

Screen newly admitted patients and complete nutritional assessments
Assess, reassess, and follow up on patients’ nutritional status
Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and families
Participate in discharge rounds as needed
Complete outpatient nutritional assessments and counseling as assigned
Support audits, performance improvement activities, staff orientation, and in-service education
Assist with patient nutrition care programs and related hospital/community nutrition efforts

Work Environment and Expectations

Works under general supervision while using independent judgment
Collaborates with the multidisciplinary care team
Must be flexible, organized, and able to function under stressful situations
Role may involve standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, lifting, bending, and repetitive motions
