Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT)

Role Overview

Travel assignment in Wausau, Wisconsin
Primary location: Aspirus Wausau Hospital
13-week contract
36 guaranteed hours per week
12-hour night shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Wisconsin
Registered Respiratory Therapist (3 years of experience)
Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ADVANCED NRP
NBRC RRT or NBRC CRT
Associate's degree
Experience working with Pediatric patients

Preferred Qualifications

NICU experience for night shift positions

Clinical Setting / Scope

Supports all patient care areas of the hospital, including ED and general care areas
May float to other Central Aspirus locations with advance notice
Provides emergency services for Rapid Response and Code Blue
Works with all age groups
Core responsibilities include basic respiratory care, critical care, ventilator management, and patient assessment with Assess and Treat Protocols

Additional Notes

Radius rule: contractors must be outside a 50-mile radius of Aspirus Wausau
Low census/on-call may apply
Flu-season masking is required if flu and COVID vaccination are declined
