<h2>Registered Nurse Job Requirements</h2>

 <li>Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele RN experience required
 </li><li>Active Registered Nurse license required
 </li><li>BLS certification required
 </li><li>ACLS certification required
 </li><li>NIHSS certification required
 </li><li>RNs working on 5S must have 8 stroke CEUs; the 3 CEUs from NIHSS may be included
 </li><li>Flu immunization required unless a valid medical exemption with supporting documentation is provided
</li></ul>

<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
 </li><li>Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly communicate changes in patient condition
 </li><li>Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
 </li><li>Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
 </li><li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
 </li><li>Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and thoroughly
 </li><li>Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
 </li><li>Maintain compliance with unit-specific stroke education requirements as applicable
</li></ul>
