Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - Travel/Contract
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Required Experience & Credentials
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics with Pediatric ECMO experience
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent ECMO experience in a pediatric hospital (highest required years of experience)
- Credentials:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required (Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) not accepted)
- Pending Massachusetts state license is acceptable
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Certifications & Competencies Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or American Red Cross only, required for all clinical/allied positions except Central Sterile Tech
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for certain pediatric cardiovascular and intensive care units if assignment extends past 13 weeks
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for specific pediatric intensive care and emergency units
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Preferred, required for NICU roles (must have PALS or NRP)
- Chemotherapy Certification: Required for Oncology roles
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM): Required for Labor & Delivery (AWHONN preferred)
- Professional Certification Verification: Must be verified within 30 days prior to start (e.g., NBRC for Respiratory Therapists)
- State License Verification: Must be verified through Massachusetts state website within 30 days prior to start
- NURSYS Verification: Required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP within 30 days prior to start
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute): Required for all Psych and Behavioral Health positions prior to start (online courses accepted)
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Pediatric Pharmacology competency required for all RNs and LPNs (not required for APNs)
- Competency Exam: Required (not required for APNs)
Licensure & Background Requirements
- Background Checks:
- 10-year criminal background check within 6 months prior to start, including aliases and multiple federal/state databases
- International background checks if candidate has lived/worked outside the U.S. in the last 10 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Massachusetts Statewide iCORI clearance must be run within 6 months of start date
- Background checks must be started within 24 hours of booking and updated annually for direct candidates
- Employment Application: Must include 10-year work history; gaps over 30 days require explanation
- References: Two professional references from two separate employers within the last three places of employment
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start, must state cleared to work with no restrictions
- Immunizations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap after age 11 acceptable, no declinations)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray (annual requirement)
- TB Questionnaire (within 30 days of start, required if past positive PPD)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer required)
- Hepatitis B (must meet one of four documented requirements; declinations must be signed within 30 days of start)
- Varicella (Proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titer required)
- Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (not required for APN)
- Seasonal Vaccinations:
- Flu vaccine required annually (vaccines must be administered on or after 8/01; exemptions accepted for medical/religious reasons but declinations are not)
- COVID-19 vaccine initial series or facility-specific medical/religious exemptions required; seasonal COVID vaccine preferred but not mandatory
- RespSafety Clearance: Required for all travelers regardless of fit test status; facility-specific fit testing done onsite

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
- Pending Massachusetts license is acceptable to start.
- Local candidates within 50 miles may have a different rate (not included here).
- Extensive documentation and onboarding requirements including background checks, immunizations, and health clearances must be completed timely.
