Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Salem, Oregon
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 36 hours per week
• Ratios: 1:4
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• First-timers accepted: No
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, but not greater than every other
• Locals accepted: Yes
• Pending license accepted: Yes
• RTO over 2 weeks requires approval
• Clinician may float if needed, including to West Valley Hospital

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oregon
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience working with Neuro Trauma patients
• Management of cardiac drips (nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone, Nicardipine, other IMCU LOC gtts)
• Interpretation of cardiac rhythms
• Management of dysrhythmias
• O2 Protocol
• Non-invasive airway management
• Peripheral line care/management
• Rapid response team activation
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Neurotrauma stepdown experience with NIHHS certification

Unit / Setting

• Surgical Neurotrauma care unit
• 30-bed unit on the fourth floor of Building A
• Short Term Acute Care facility
• Magnet, Teaching, Level II Trauma Center
