Job Opportunity: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)

Location

  • Mount Vernon, Washington

Employment Type

  • Travel/Contract

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • Day shift, typically 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day)
  • May occasionally work 12-hour shifts (8:30 AM to 9:00 PM) if assigned to the Emergency Department
  • Weekend work required every third weekend
  • No on-call required
  • Floating within scope of practice as needed

Job Requirements

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Must have completed a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree
  • Must hold either the Washington State Social Worker Independent Clinical License (LICSW) or Associate Independent Clinical License (LICSW-A)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a social worker in Washington State
  • Knowledge of basic Medicare rules is required
  • First-time travel social workers are accepted
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system preferred

Required Qualifications & Compliance

  • Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years
  • Education verification required; if education was completed outside the U.S., documentation of equivalency is necessary
  • Drug screening: 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start
  • Immunizations and health requirements:
    • Tdap vaccine or signed declination
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
    • Documentation of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity or vaccination
    • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
  • Two professional references completed within 1 year of start
  • Photo for badge required
  • Completion of facility-specific confidentiality, crime disclosure, conflict of interest, and compliance documents
  • Medication and competency exams as applicable

Notes

  • Locals are allowed to apply
  • Block scheduling may be discussed during the interview
  • Floating assignments will be within the scope of social work practice
