Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - ER (Travel/Contract)

Creve Coeur, Missouri

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Room (ER)
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
Contract Length: Approximately 20 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Visits per Day: Approximately 35 patients
Rooms/Beds: 8 rooms, 10 beds
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care
Total Staffed Beds: 68
Charting System: EPIC (experience required)
Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Job Description

Adult service with responsibility to stabilize pediatric patients and transfer as needed
Primary care Emergency Department (no trauma cases)
Floating within scope to ICU and Medical-Surgical areas as needed
First-time travel nurses accepted
Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
No on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
