OT Acute Care Hospital

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Lafayette, Indiana
Day shift: Monday–Friday, plus one weekend day per month
40 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid Occupational Therapist license in Indiana
Occupational Therapist (1 year of experience)
Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NBCOT
Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting

Preferred Qualifications

Manual Therapy certification/license
Lymphedema certification/license
Cerner experience

Unit / Setting

Inpatient acute care rehab team of 19 professionals
Patients may include ICU through progressive care levels
Common diagnoses include CABG and other cardiac procedures, stroke, TBI, joint replacement, fracture repairs, respiratory illnesses, dementia, MS, and Parkinson

Role Responsibilities

Evaluate patients
Develop and follow a plan of care
Provide ADL training
Provide therapeutic exercises and therapeutic activities to improve function
Assess appropriateness of discharge disposition recommendations daily
