Registered Nurse Job Summary

Role Overview

Travel/contract registered nurse position in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Weekend coverage as needed, likely every other weekend.
Floating may include all medical-surgical floors and potentially rehab.
Travelers are expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays; if the contract overlaps only 2 of those holidays, 1 of 2 must be worked.
Travelers receive 1 day of orientation and then are expected to take assignments.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Pennsylvania.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience).
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Experience with Epic.

Unit / Patient Care Notes

Medical-surgical/telemetry setting.
May care for stable post-open-heart surgery patients transferred from ICU.
Other patient populations may include peritoneal dialysis, respiratory, cardiac disease, stroke, joint replacements, observation, and fast-turnaround cases.
May care for COVID patients.

Schedule / Assignment Expectations

Requested time off is limited to a maximum of 7 days.
Interviews are not guaranteed, and scheduling requests cannot be accommodated.
Clinical screening is completed before manager review.

Compliance / Onboarding Items

Background, fingerprinting, education verification, references, employment application, skills checklist, and health documentation are required.
Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail testing and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam are required for RNs.
Fit testing for a mask is required for patient-facing candidates.
Flu, COVID-19, TB, tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap, MMR, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation are part of onboarding requirements.
A photo for badge use and signed facility documents are required.
