Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

  • Travel/contract RN position in Worcester, Massachusetts
  • 13-week assignment
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend and holiday required
  • Local candidates accepted

Unit / Assignment Details

  • Assigned to a maternity float pool
  • Will work in both Labor & Delivery and Postpartum

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Massachusetts
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Post Partum experience
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • Experience with Epic

Orientation / Testing

  • Must be aware of two pass/fail exams at orientation: medication and telemetry
  • Each exam allows one attempt
  • Failure of either exam results in immediate cancellation
  • Study materials will be provided during compliance and before FDI

Compliance / Onboarding

  • Valid photo ID required
  • Massachusetts statewide iCORI release required
  • Background check required
  • Education verification required for highest completed education
  • Transcript may be accepted if education verification cannot be completed, but it must show graduation date and confirm graduation
  • Physical exam required within 12 months of start and must include a statement of fitness for work without restrictions
  • Drug test required within 30 days of start
  • References required: 2 within the last 3 years
  • Skills checklist required before start
  • Employment application must include 7 years of employment history and explanations for gaps over 30 days

Health Requirements

  • TB screening required
  • MMR, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Varicella, and COVID documentation or declination may be required based on immunity/vaccination status
  • Flu vaccination or facility-specific flu declination required during flu season

  • Same bill rate applies to local candidates
