MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (rotating days off)
Hours: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
Contract Length: Approximately 25 weeks

Job Overview

• MRI Technologist position requiring operation of Siemens MRI equipment (Espree, Trio, Aera, Skyra, Sola, Vida models)
• Daily caseload: 100-150 scans per tech
• No on-call or holiday shifts required
• Weekend requirement: 1 Saturday per month if needed
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required; no floating to sister facilities
• Home address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Required Certifications & Compliance

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certification accepted
• Background checks including criminal, statewide, and federal (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) required and must be current
• Education verification of highest related degree required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start required
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, including panels for amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methadone, opiates, oxycodone, PCP, etc.
• Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
  • Tdap vaccine or declination (expires every 10 years)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Sept 30 – April 1)
• Facility-specific compliance documents including HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, latex allergy questionnaire, hand hygiene policy, fingernail policy, dress code policy, and regulatory compliance education must be completed and updated annually
• Badge photo required (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months of start)

Additional Requirements

• Must provide two professional references (supervisors preferred)
• Employment application and unit-specific skills checklist required within 1 year of start
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
• Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) and other state-specific background checks required for Missouri placements
• Vehicle registration required for candidates working at the facility
• Orientation modules required for all RNs and LVNs (not required for allied health professionals)
