Job Opportunity: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Start Date: Approximately 2-3 weeks from offer
- Shift: Varying 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM
- Weekend Requirement: 1-2 weekends per month (Saturday-Sunday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
- On-Call: Required on weekdays (2-3 times per month) and weekends (2 times every other month)
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Daily Caseload: 7-8 patients for 8-hour shifts; 8-10 patients for 10-hour shifts
- Floating: May be required to float to sister facilities within a 60-mile radius
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, with experience within the last year
- Certification from ARDMS or CCI
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Additional Requirements
- Photo for Badge: Clear, passport-style photo with solid light background, frontal view, business casual attire; must be submitted by Wednesday prior to start
- Orientation: Completion of required HR and facility-specific modules prior to orientation (approx. 2 hours)
- Radiation Exposure Attestation: Must be completed prior to start if radiation badge required
- Work History Verification: Last 3 clinical employers verified; attestation letters accepted only if other verification methods exhausted

- First-time travelers accepted
- Locals accepted with adjusted pay rate (not applicable here)
- All licensure and certification documents must be current and not expiring within 30 days of start
- Facility approval required for any licensure or background hits
- Emergency response team participation is mandatory; consider hurricane season impact
