Position Details

• Specialty: Emergency Medicine RN
• Department: Emergency Department (48 beds with flex space)
• Trauma Level: 3
• Shift: Mid shifts (10am-10pm or 12pm-12am)
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum two weekends per schedule
• Call: None
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 in Main ED, 6:1 in Fast Track
• EHR System: Cerner

Required Certifications & Experience

• ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred, especially in Emergency Department
• Must have skills/experience in Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation

Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

• Patient types include ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, Psychiatric, Substance Abuse Disorders, CHF, Abdominal Pain, Chest Pain

Equipment & Technology

• Zoll Defibrillator
• Level One Blood Transfuser
• QinFlow Blood Warmer
• Hospira Plum360 infusion pump
• Freestyle and iSTAT point-of-care testing
• Ultrasound-guided IV placement

Work Environment

• Team nursing and Pod System model
• Social worker and unit educator assigned to the department
• No float requirements

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
