Travel RN - Operating Room (OR)

Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, four 10-hour shifts per week)
• Work Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
• Floating: Expectation to float between campuses as needed

Requirements

• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with strengths in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Robotics
• CNOR certification preferred

Role Overview

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering patient care in the OR. The RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other staff to provide care according to state nurse practice acts, AORN guidelines, and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure availability of supplies and timeliness of surgical cases
• Communicate with patient families
• Update physician preference cards
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgeries
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the OR

This position is ideal for experienced OR nurses with a strong background in orthopedic, neuro, and robotic surgeries who are comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment and floating between campuses.
