Position Overview

• Weekend Hours: Alternating
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Customary, any inpatient unit
• Patient Ratio: 1:4-6
• Number of Beds on Unit: 8
• EMR System: EPIC

Job Description

• Coordinate, plan, direct, and implement the nursing process in the delivery of patient care in a medical-surgical setting.
• Manage a high volume of admissions.
• This is not an Emergency Room position.
• Typical patients include ER, observation, and admission cases.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification required
• Customary float experience to any inpatient unit

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC highly preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Work Environment & Culture

• Team player attitude, willing to help, pleasant and caring towards patient outcomes.
• Dress code: Black scrubs required.

Additional Information

• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 hours
• Facility is a Level 3 Emergency and Trauma Center with multiple certifications and designations related to cardiac and stroke care.
