Registered Nurse – Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Shift: See shift details
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
Call Requirements: As needed

Unit & Facility Overview

Medical Surgical Combination unit (Med Surg A5)
Level III Trauma Center
167-bed healthcare facility
Patient population includes all ages
Equipment includes Omnicell medication dispensing system
Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
Float requirements: May float to similar med/surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and HWC
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check before assignment start

Skills & Experience

Experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing required
IV insertion skills required
Professional demeanor and appearance required
Dress code: Scrubs of any color; casual wear is not acceptable

Additional Information

Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
