Role Overview

Travel RN assignment in Oncology on 9/10 S in the South Tower (A). The unit has 41 beds.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Oncology (1 year of experience)
Oncology experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Strong understanding of sterile dressing changes, infection prevention
Solid understanding of blood and electrolyte replacement process protocols

Preferred Qualifications

General Medical Oncology understanding
Familiarity with ports and central lines

Unit Details

Day shift staffing: 1 charge, up to 5 RNs, 2 PCTs per floor
Night shift staffing: 1 charge, up to 5 RNs, 1 PCT per floor
Estimated patient ratio: 4:1, up to 5:1
Equipment used: baxter pumps
EMR: Meditech

Typical Procedures

Blood and electrolyte replacement daily
Sterile dressing changes

Schedule

36 hours per week
Rotating weekends
Tuesday starts
