Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Day shift with evening taper
- Night coverage is call only
- Call rotation averages 2 call shifts per week, including weekday nights and weekend primary/backup
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Surgical First Assistant license in Virginia
- Surgical First Assistant (2 years of experience)
- Surgical First Assistant experience within the last year
- BLS
- OR First Assist Certification
- VA Board of Medicine Registration
- Robotic experience
- Ortho experience
- Neuro/spine experience
- Orthopedic Technologist experience
- Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Technologist experience
Unit Details
- 16 operating rooms
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Uses OR equipment
- Procedures include robotics, neurosurgery, general, plastics, urology, and orthopedics
- Does not include transplant or cardiac surgery
Work Environment
- Team-based staffing model
- Team player preferred

- Hospital-provided scrubs
- No floating areas
