Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• OB experience
• Post Partum experience
• Nursery experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN

Unit Details

• Labor and delivery, postpartum and newborn care, OBED triage, inductions, and cesarean sections
• 9 LDR beds, 8 postpartum/GYN beds, 2 OR suites, and 23 wellborn nursery beds
• Patient ratios include 3 couplets per nurse and 1:1 for active labor, Pitocin, and epidural

Schedule and Work Setting

• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• No call requirement for travel staff
• Floating is limited to within the unit only

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided
• Preferred experience includes cesarean section circulator, first assist, and scrub roles
• The ideal candidate is energetic and self-directed
