Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Location: Aspen, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist in Acute Care is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy treatments. The goal is to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability. The therapist assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning while adapting to their capabilities.

Schedule

• Wednesday to Sunday
• 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (40 hours per week)
• Dayshift, 10-hour shifts

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained upon hire)
• Preferred: Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
• Preferred: 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist (this is the required experience level)
• Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish

Additional Information

• Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (8,000 ft elevation)
• No Return to Office (RTO) requests accepted
• Housing is the traveler's responsibility and is extremely expensive, especially in winter. Nearby towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs may offer more affordable options. Typical rent for a 1-bedroom apartment in Basalt is around $3,500/month.
