Contract Length

  • 14 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New York
  • Manager (1 year of experience)
  • Manager experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • ONS Chemotherapy Administration Certification
  • Master of Science in Nursing
  • Experience in Management roles
  • Med Surg experience
  • Stepdown experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s in Nursing Education
  • Professional board certification in the clinical specialty

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads nursing practice using relationship-centered care and modified primary nursing
  • Serves as a role model and preceptor for new staff and students
  • Supports evidence-based practice, research, and nursing scholarship
  • Validates staff competency and provides feedback on care checks
  • Collaborates with nursing leadership and the interdisciplinary team
  • Oversees nursing education budget and related record keeping
  • Participates in meetings and research activities
  • Provides care appropriate to age-specific patient needs across the lifespan

Additional Notes

  • Candidates enrolled in a graduate program may be considered if they have close graduation dates committed
  • ONS Chemotherapy Administration Certification is required if assigned to oncology
