Radiology Interventional Technologist
Location
- Detroit, Michigan
Contract
- 13 weeks
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Includes a call schedule
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT registration with an advanced registry in one of the following:
- Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI)
- Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI)
- Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV)
- 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- IR vascular experience
- Experience with Epic
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for invasive radiology procedures and explain the exam
- Assist the radiologist during complex diagnostic invasive procedures
- Prepare contrast media, medications, IV solutions, sterile equipment, monitors, pressure injectors, and imaging equipment
- Assess patient condition before, during, and after procedures
- Operate imaging equipment and apply radiation protection principles
- Manage PACS and RIS workflow, including image exceptions and study indexing
- Document in the medical record and radiology information system
- Support quality assurance activities
