Unit: 3E Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Number of Beds: 21 to 30
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:2
Charting System: Cerner
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Float Support Areas: Other ICUs, step-down units, transitional units, ICU Surge Space on 6D
Special Procedures: SLEDD (continuous dialysis)

Schedule & Requirements

Shift: 12-hour day shifts
Total Hours per Week: 36 hours
Call Requirement: No
Holiday Requirement: Yes
Weekend Requirement: Yes; every 3rd weekend
Float Requirement: Yes (to other ICUs, step-downs, transitional units, ICU Surge Space)

Patient Population / Common Diagnoses

Respiratory illnesses
GI bleed
Drug overdose
End stage kidney disease

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Delaware
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience
ICU experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

This position is suitable for experienced MICU nurses seeking a long-term contract in a critical care setting with diverse patient cases and float opportunities.
