Labor & Delivery Nurse (L&D) - Springfield, Massachusetts

Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work on the LDRP Unit which handles approximately 4,300 deliveries annually.
Provide care to labor and high-risk patients.
Facility includes a 3-room OR for cesarean sections.
Teaching hospital environment with residents and attending physicians on site.

Unit Details

Pod C (Labor) – 16 beds
Pod B (High Risk) – 11 beds
Pod A (Post-Partum) – 11 beds

Shift Details

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekend schedule: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday night for night shift)
One on-call shift required every 6 weeks
Schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience preferred.
Some experience with high-risk patients preferred.
Certifications required: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and CPR.

No prior travel experience is explicitly required for this position.
