Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Work in a 6-room Cardiac Cath/EP Lab unit with 9 holding bays.
- The unit handles 10-25 cases daily, ranging from diagnostic procedures to complicated PCI and Structural Heart interventions.
- Shift schedule includes 4 to 10-hour shifts weekly, typically 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- On-call assignments include 1-2 nights per week and every 4-5 weekends, depending on staffing and department needs.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio:
- Holding Area: 1 nurse to 3 patients
- Intraprocedure: 1 nurse to 1 patient
- Float requirement: Must be willing and able to float to alternate campuses or locations within the health system on short notice if needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab nursing.
- Prior travel experience required.
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) recommended

- The facility is a Level-1 Trauma Center.
- Weekend and holiday coverage includes on-call duties.
- Mileage reimbursement provided if required to report to alternate campuses after arriving at the originally scheduled location.
