Job Opportunity: Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma City, OK

Position Overview

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in an ICU setting under general supervision.
• Care for patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex.
• Responsible for assigned group of patients, documenting responses to treatments and changes in physician orders.
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor physiological data and intervene as necessary.
• Administer medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including at discharge.
• Delegate tasks to support staff and make referrals as needed.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience

Education Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher (preferred)

Certifications & Licensure

• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Some computer skills
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees
