Job Summary
- Provide respiratory care at a clinically competent to proficient level.
- Care for patients with emergency, acute, and intensive care needs with minimal guidance.
- Demonstrate clinical leadership by contributing to standards of care and department goals.
- Work under the direction of physicians/clinicians and follow organizational policies and respiratory care guidelines.
- Serve as a role model and preceptor for new staff, and participate in efforts to enhance respiratory care knowledge.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of pediatric respiratory care experience.
- Education: Associate’s degree with a certificate of completion or technical diploma in respiratory care.
- Licensure: Valid respiratory care license in Pennsylvania.
- Certifications:
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through NBRC
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through NBRC
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist-Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (RRT-NPS) certification preferred within 24 months of start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Ability to use MS Office Suite.
