Registered Nurse — CCU

Location

• Renton, Washington

Contract

• 16 weeks
• Start date: 10/26/26
• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• CCU - Coronary Care (2 years of experience)
• CCU - Coronary Care experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Unit Details

• ICU/CCU setting
• 30 private beds
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1
• Telemetry is used, and RNs must be able to read strips
• No monitor techs
• No nurse aides on the unit
• Charge nurse does not take patients
• House supervisor is available 24/7

Common Patient Population

• Medical ICU patients
• Sepsis
• Respiratory failure
• Stroke recovery after TPA or thrombectomy
• Target temperature management
• Patients returning from cath lab

Clinical Skills / Responsibilities

• Titrate drips as prescribed
• Manage vents, BiPAP, and HFNC
• Float to med/surg units as needed to take a full assignment

Schedule Expectations

• Every other weekend
• Holidays as needed
• May be placed on standby if low censused

Orientation

• 2 twelve-hour day shifts, then 1 twelve-hour day or night shift depending on assignment
• Includes Epic training and organization training

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs

Additional Notes

• Travelers with license hits involving diverting meds or endangerment will not be accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted before the contract starts
• RTO cannot be guaranteed from 12/24 to 12/30
