• TNCC
• ENPC
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Job Details

• 12-hour day and evening shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling
• Full-time and part-time staff are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
• Holiday requirements apply
• Call or standby is determined by the nurse manager
• May float throughout the 60-mile zone
• Could float within Zone 3 if there is extreme need
• Navy blue scrubs
• Mid shift with varied start times
• Every other weekend
• Week of orientation is in state, even if first-day modules are completed remotely

Unit Details

• ED has 4 beds/trauma bays
• Fast Track is available
• Separate triage area is available
• Separate holding area is available
• Separate psych/seclusion rooms are available
• In-house security is available 24/7 and housed in the ER
• Average volume is 80+ patients per day
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4
• Common patient types include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain
• Common drips include cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation, and analgesia
• Charge nurse takes an assignment
• Respiratory therapy is in the ER 24/7 and handles ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs
• Ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow are used in the ER
• X-ray or CT availability is shift dependent
• Phlebotomy is shared between phlebotomy staff and RNs
