RN II - Tele Float Pool - MedSurg/CV/Neuro

Overview

• Travel RN contract in Chandler, Arizona
• 13-week assignment
• Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Float pool role covering Tele and MedSurg units, with frequent floating between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS
• Active ACLS
• Arizona RN license or compact license
• 2+ years of current tele experience
• Must be able to titrate drips
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting, with 2 maximum attempts
• Must pass a pass/fail simulation lab on day 1 of orientation
• COVID vaccine required, or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD

• NIHSS

Unit Details

• Floating may include ICU, Cardiac Tele, Tele units, MedSurg, and holding areas such as Cath Lab, ER, and observation floor
• Tele units use centralized telemetry, and RNs must be able to interpret EKGs
• MedSurg/CV Tele patients include post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, and general tele patients
• Neuro Tele patients include neuro post-surgical, post cranis, spine, and CVAs post TPA
• MedSurg units include ortho, surgical, oncology, and general MedSurg patients requiring tele
• No pediatrics; patients are 15 years and older

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Every other weekend required
• Floating is required and may occur mid-shift
• Floating is to similar or lower acuity units
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other campus

Additional Notes

• Centralized tele monitoring is used on Tele units
• No vents on the listed Tele units
• RT and Pharmacy are available 24/7 on the listed units
