Surgical Tech – CVOR

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Days
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Overview

• Work primarily in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with exposure to General OR.
• Average of 30 cases per day across 16 suites.
• Common case types include: Hearts, Vascular, Thoracic, General, Neuro, Spine, Robotics, Orthopedics.
• Orientation includes CVOR and General OR training.
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available.

Call and Scheduling Requirements

• One weekday call per month.
• One weekend call (Friday-Sunday) per month.
• Call response time: 30 minutes; call room available at facility.
• Holiday call requirements depend on contract.
• Floating required to General OR; may float within nearby zones if needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CVOR Technologist license in Colorado
• Minimum of 1 year of CVOR Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or certification through NBSTSA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Surgical Technologist experience
• Valid Driver’s License

Additional Information

• Must be within 60 miles radius; driver’s license must be submitted.
• Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote.
• Scrubs are provided.
