Job Opportunity: Manager of Diagnostic Imaging

Location

Santa Cruz, California

Position Details

Travel assignment
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Work schedule includes holidays with hours same as weekends (work into rotation)
Scrub color: Teal

Job Description

Manage Diagnostic Imaging department with 2 CT scanners (Siemens Sensation 64 & GE 16 Light Speed)
Typical workload: 10-20 scans per shift, evenings are the busiest
Use of Cerner & McKesson PACS electronic medical records
Radiologist coverage is not 24/7; night shifts covered by Nighthawk teleradiology service
Floating to Radiology department as needed
Floor-specific orientation: 3-4 shifts
Patient types include ER patients, virtual colonography, gated procedures, and general CT cases
Workdays are 10 hours long

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in California
Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in management roles
Active BLS certification
Active ARRT-CT certification
Active ARRT-R certification

Additional Information

Radiologist or intensivist not onsite 24/7
Must be comfortable with managing a busy CT imaging workload and coordinating with remote radiology services
