ER RN Day Shift

Overview

• Contract role in Lake Isabella, California.
• Day shift; 36 hours per week.
• Emergency care setting.

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license in California.
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience).
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year.
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
• PALS issued by American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• Emergency room experience preferred.

Role Summary

• Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting.
• Triage patients safely, rapidly, and accurately.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments and reassessments, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations.
• Monitors hemodynamic status and interprets results.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac monitoring, identifies dysrhythmias, and treats appropriately.
• Prepares, hangs, monitors, and discontinues IV fluids.
• Assists physicians with procedures in the Emergency Department.
• Leads and supervises staff, trains new employees, and allocates and monitors work.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
