Medical Technologist Travel Position - Colorado

Job Details

• Location: Denver, Colorado
• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM, working 7 days on and 7 days off
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Unit: Blood Bank / Main Laboratory (3rd floor)
• Unit Size: 65 laboratory staff total
• Equipment: Standard laboratory instrumentation including Siemens and Sysmex; Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Microbiology
• EMR System: Meditech

Job Description

• Perform analytic testing using laboratory instrumentation
• Review and release test results
• Troubleshoot instrument issues
• Communicate critical results and confirm orders with key stakeholders
• Ability to quickly train and work independently in the assigned department

Required Qualifications

• Medical Technologist license
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist
• Medical Technologist experience within the last year
• HHCCA - De-Escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Blood Bank experience
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR system
