Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Travel contract
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit & Facility Information

Unit: Pediatric & Adult Medsurg (M4)
Trauma Level III facility
Number of beds on unit: 27
Patient ratios: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
Patient population includes general med-surg, pediatrics, hemo and peritoneal dialysis, cardiac drips, post cardiac procedures
Equipment used: Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling and portable Hoyer lifts, portable cardiac monitoring, defibrillators (x2 for transport), EKG machine
Electronic Health Records: Omnicell, Cerner

Shift & Hours

Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Call: None
Float requirements: Yes, float to all units except M3; assist in ER as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 3 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Experience with cardiac drips and titration
Experience with Cerner

Skills & Experience

Telemetry nursing expertise
Post-operative catheter care
Management and titration of cardiac drips
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Experience with common diagnoses such as stroke, congestive heart failure (CHF), atrial fibrillation, arrhythmias, cardiac catheterizations/stents, and med-surg care

Additional Information

Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
No call requirements
