Respiratory Therapist

Overview

  • Travel assignment in Vidalia, Georgia
  • 36 hours per week
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Georgia
  • Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • NRP
  • NBRC

Unit Details

  • 2–3 therapists per shift
  • Minimum every-other-weekend expectation
  • Open to block scheduling for Friday/Saturday/Sunday
  • RTs currently cannot intubate
  • New Hamilton C6 vents recently added

Clinical Skills / Procedures

  • ABGs
  • Oxygen nebulizers
  • Vent management
  • BiPAP management
  • Home oxygen qualifications
  • CPT vest
  • High-flow management
  • Bubble CPAP
  • EKGs

Equipment

  • Hamilton C6 and PB 980 vents
  • Vapotherm
  • Airvo
  • V60 BiPAP
  • Bubble CPAP

Documentation

  • Meditech Expanse

Work Environment

  • Patient experience standard: AIDET
  • Scrubs required: gray, black, or navy
