Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel)

Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Unit: ICU/CCU
Number of Beds: 16
Patient Ratios: Typically 2:1, occasionally 3:1
Staffing: Medical Technicians regularly; additional techs depending on census
Equipment Used: Impella, GE monitors, Temporary Pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, Hemodynamic monitoring
Documentation System: Meditech
Floating Policy: Float in rotation with core staffing
Scheduling: Flexible scheduling options with a teamwork environment; mix of day and night shifts

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Experience with central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions

Additional Information

Dress Code: Scrubs of any color allowed; no denim, capris, or camouflage patterns
Patient Experience: Unit values patient-centered care and teamwork
Recognition: Department has received awards such as the Daisy Award and participates in community support activities (e.g., making blankets for hospice patients)
