• Unit Staffing Description: Assignments according to acuity and skills
• Type of Equipment: All ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, GE Cardiac Output monitor
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: Flexible, out a month in advance
• Floating Policy: As needed

Required Skills and Experience

• Must Have:

  • 2 years ICU experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS

• Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CRRT, Hypothermia protocol
  • Meditech experience preferred

Certifications

• Required: Active RN TX license (temporary license will not be accepted)
• Preferred: CCRN

Procedures Performed on Unit

• Central line placements
• Bedside procedures (e.g., thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and all other ICU procedures)

Patient Experience Required

• Surgical population, especially oncology

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Nail Policy: Clean and healthy, no artificial nails or gel
• Hair: Neat and clean, no extreme styles or colors; must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer
• Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible
• Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
