Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

• Unit: Operating Room (OR)
• Number of Beds: 15 OR suites
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 in OR
• Staffing: Secretary manager, charge nurse, coordinators, RN, ST, OR aides
• Equipment: All service lines except burns and transplants
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling & Floating: Varies based on need
• Patient Experience Requirements: Varies based on need
• Dress Code: Scrubs provided by facility
• Unit Policies: Follow AORN requirements
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• Procedures Performed: Robotic surgery (3 robots including Davinci, MAKO, Mazor), Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, Trauma, Urology, Gynecology, General surgery
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS required
• Additional Recognition: Leapfrog A facility

Requirements

• Licenses: Active Registered Nurse License
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Operating Room)
• Advanced Skills: Experience with robotic and specialty surgeries as listed above
• On-Call Requirement: Must be able to arrive in department within 30 minutes if on call
