Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Pediatrics Outpatient

Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 26 weeks

Facility & Work Environment

• Level III trauma center with 198 beds
• Services include medical, surgical, rehabilitation, childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health, day surgery, imaging, and lab testing
• Located in the scenic San Juan River Valley with access to outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and national parks
• Work schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (40 scheduled)
• 30-minute unpaid lunch break (12:30 pm – 1:00 pm)
• Dress code: Dark gray (pewter) top and black pants; scrubs or polo/button-up; no jeans
• Patient load: 10-14 scheduled patients per day
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner

Position Details

• Specialty: Pediatrics Outpatient
• Patient population includes pediatrics and special needs children
• Common diagnoses: Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, premature babies
• Shift: Days
• No weekend or call requirements
• Mandatory meetings may occur during lunch break and will be compensated

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in New Mexico
• Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Notes

• No float requirements
• Overtime must be pre-approved
• Time off and holidays to be determined
