Job Description

• Float position covering 2-3 different outpatient oncology offices within the UCLA Health system in the Encino area.
• Work schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each, variable days, no weekend requirement.
• Required to wear navy blue scrubs.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Oncology)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of outpatient oncology nursing experience.
• Certifications:

  • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Certification (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • CPR certification
  • Chemotherapy certification (required for Oncology RNs)
• Education: BSN required
• Licensure: Valid California RN license
• Additional Requirements:

  • Current and valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID
  • Background checks including social security trace, criminal history, sex offender search, and others as required within 30 days of start
  • Education verification (diploma or official transcripts)
  • Facility-specific onboarding documents and training modules (e.g., HIPAA, harassment prevention, UCLA-specific training)
  • Physical exam within one year of start
  • Immunizations and health screenings including TB test (QGold), flu vaccine or declination, COVID vaccine or declination, and others as per facility policy
  • Drug screening within 12 months of start
  • References: 2 required, supervisor level or above, one within the last year
  • Employment history verification for the last 5-7 years with explanations for gaps

• Floating between multiple outpatient oncology clinics in the region.
• No weekend shifts required.
