Essential Job Functions
- Apply the Nursing Process across all age groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
- Thorough documentation following regulatory and hospital standards
- Maintain clinical competencies and support professional development of self and others
- Practice clinical skills using theoretical knowledge in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
Required Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 12 months of hire
- Additional certifications may be required as applicable (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, Chemotherapy, CPI)
Required Skills and Abilities
- Good judgment and patience in patient care
- Ability to work in a busy, stressful environment with changing patient safety requirements
- Proficiency with computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic medical records
- Strong organizational and workload management skills
- Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Advanced math skills
- Creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and decision-making abilities
Additional Requirements
- Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify (100-mile radius rule)
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID
- Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and others as required
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
- Immunizations and health documentation including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B immunity or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Completion of unit-specific skills checklist annually
- Work history verification for the past 7 years
