Role
- Medical Surgical/ Orthopedics Department RN
- Travel/Contract assignment in Berkeley, California
Schedule
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend requirement: every other week
- No on-call
Floating
- May float to other units within scope of practice
- May also float to Hawthorne or Herrick Campus depending on need/census
- Travelers should be flexible with floating to different campuses or within the hospital
- Shuttle provided if floating is requested
Required Qualifications
- Valid California RN license
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- 2 years of Med Surg experience
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start
- Sex Offender Search required within 90 days of start
- FACIS Level 3 search required within 2 weeks of start, then monthly after start
- California Medi-Cal Search required if FACIS III cannot be run
- HHS/OIG required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM required
- Education verification required
- State license verification required within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start
- Unit-specific skills checklist required
- Full 7 years of work history in the application, including city and state, with no gaps
- Employment history verification required for up to 7 years; gaps over 30 days must be explained
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit test within 1 year of start
- Negative TB or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
- Adult Tdap within 10 years of start
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start
- Candidate must review/sign required facility documents before start

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
