Role

• Medical Surgical/ Orthopedics Department RN
• Travel/Contract assignment in Berkeley, California

Schedule

• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: every other week
• No on-call

Floating

• May float to other units within scope of practice
• May also float to Hawthorne or Herrick Campus depending on need/census
• Travelers should be flexible with floating to different campuses or within the hospital
• Shuttle provided if floating is requested

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• 2 years of Med Surg experience
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start
• Sex Offender Search required within 90 days of start
• FACIS Level 3 search required within 2 weeks of start, then monthly after start
• California Medi-Cal Search required if FACIS III cannot be run
• HHS/OIG required
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required
• Education verification required
• State license verification required within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start
• Unit-specific skills checklist required
• Full 7 years of work history in the application, including city and state, with no gaps
• Employment history verification required for up to 7 years; gaps over 30 days must be explained
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit test within 1 year of start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
• Adult Tdap within 10 years of start
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start
• Candidate must review/sign required facility documents before start

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
